Organizations of all sizes are turning to cloud services, and that shift is paying off: research shoes that companies that embrace managed hosting and the cloud are experiencing greater organizational productivity, IT efficiency and overall self-reported “success” than those that continue to manage critical server work in-house.
And while reducing existing costs is frequently the top reason companies try out infrastructure as a service (IaaS): 56% of those surveyed claim using servers and storage in the cloud has helped them to also save money in other ways. Another 22% of organizations claim the cloud has increased their organizational agility. Clearly the cloud is showing companies and their IT departments how to be more productive with their time.
