In this social listening whitepaper, you'll learn that listening technology provides brands with the power to reach consumers via the digital platforms where they research, make, and discuss their purchasing decisions.
obile Payments have emerged as a catalyst
for transactions across all markets.
In underdeveloped markets, mobile payment
technology is enabling businesses to sell products
and services to consumers that had previously been
out of reach.
In developed markets, it has made the process of
purchasing products and services even simpler.
PayPal, one of the most popular digital payment
solutions on the market, facilitated $66 billion in
payment volume throughout 2015, and now has
188 million active registered user accounts across
the US. Furthermore, Statista projects that mobile
payments will account for more than $210 billion in
transactions by 2019.

the process of connecting businesses to the people
they are serving. However, some merchants will find
themselves miles behind their competitors by the
time the transition to mobile payments is complete.
The reason? A failure to implement the correct
mobile payment strategy.

Brands have never been so fragile. The way we find, consume, and share information has changed dramatically in the past 10 years. Traditional customers have been replaced by a more demanding, less loyal breed of customer, and the explosion of channels makes attracting and retaining this new consumer even harder. Digitally savvy buyers are more likely to base their purchasing decisions on relevant customer experiences than on a logo. Even as these device-hopping consumers’ behaviors and preferences change at a dizzying pace, there's still an expectation for a consistent, meaningful experience — but if it's not optimal their perception of value drops and they disengage.
So how can brands serve and delight smart customers across different channels and devices? Marketers must move beyond insights based on consumer demographics, transactional behavior, browsing habits, and intent.

Research shows that today’s in-store purchases tend to begin and end online. Even ready-tobuy
consumers research online for nearby stores, go in-store to buy, and often leave a review
about their experience. In turn, those reviews influence the purchasing decisions of your
future customers. This makes it crucial for businesses to have a voice in those conversations,
monitoring and responding to reviews and comments.
To reach a consumer with a message that is going to drive the most value for your organization, you have to understand what that consumer is looking for and what type of information will bring him further along the path of conversion.
In this webinar, Bonin Bough, Vice President of Global Media and Consumer Engagement at Mondelez International, energetically discusses how Mondelez is challenging marketers to “think like a startup,” and leverage social media and mobile to drive impulse purchasing and brand preference. Bonin shares how Mondelez achieved recent success in social engagement including the Trident, Wheat Thins and Oreo’s “dunk in the dark” campaigns.
While the store remains the cornerstone of the shopping experience, our survey of more than 26,000 customers across a range of grocery and non-grocery retail categories, reveals that today’s empowered consumers are increasingly comfortable purchasing through multiple retail channels. The much discussed trend of "Showrooming," threatens to fragment hard-earned customer loyalty. Retailers can convert the threat to opportunity by making their customers "sticky" through a seamless omni-channel approach that provides consistency, convenience and a superior shopping experience across every consumer touch point.

The Web experience is changing for consumers. While the National Retail Federation reports that over 90 percent of customers research products on the Web before purchasing, a single product photo and description is not enough to close the sale. Through broadband, with Flash and JPEG product images, retailers are providing information to potential customers which will improve the likelihood of closing the sale.
