Uncovering the Risks of SAP Cyber Breaches by Ponemon Institute
How are organizations truly managing cybersecurity risks in their SAP ecosystem? Ponemon Institute’s latest study of 607 global IT security practitioners reveals senior level perceptions about SAP, its security challenges, and the risk of data breaches and cyberattacks.
System vulnerabilities, ransomware, malware, intrusions, and other malicious activities are on the rise, showing that today’s cybersecurity professionals are hard-pressed to keep enterprises secure. Although threats are growing in sophistication and attack vectors are expanding, many of the intrusions and cyber attacks happening today are simply a result of improper protections being put in place, systems going unpatched, or weak security policies. While much of the blame is being placed on cybersecurity professionals, the real blame should often be placed upon the tools and policies that many of those professionals have come to trust and the complexity that comes with them.
For years, executives have been automating for efficiency, freeing workers from repetitive
tasks, streamlining the back office and looking for cost savings. Now, they are exploring
intelligent automation to establish thinking processes—processes that communicate realtime insights to employees, customers and partners across an expanding ecosystem. The
ability to add intelligence to automation opens a new universe of possibilities that will have
a profound impact on the way organizations operate and the way work gets done. More than
anything else, intelligent automation will be a defining factor for the future workforce.
There's an old saying in information security: "We want our network to be like an M&M, with a hard crunchy outside and a soft chewy center." For today's digital business, this perimeter-based security model is ineffective against malicious insiders and targeted attacks. Security and risk (S&R) pros must eliminate the soft chewy center and make security ubiquitous throughout the digital business ecosystem — not just at the perimeter. In 2009, we developed a new information security model, called the Zero Trust Model, which has gained widespread acceptance and adoption.
This report explains the vision and key concepts of the model. This is an update of a previously published report; Forrester reviews and updates it periodically for continued relevance and accuracy.
Today, it’s unlikely that a single database will meet all your needs. For a
variety of reasons—including the need to support cloud-scale solutions
and increasingly dynamic app ecosystems—startups and enterprises
alike are embracing a wide variety of open source databases.
These varied databases—including MongoDB, Redis and PostgreSQL—
open doors to building sophisticated and scalable applications on
battle-hardened, non-proprietary databases.
You can have all the latest features of iOS 8 on your iPhone, but if you’re still using an iPhone 4s, you won’t be able to take advantage of most of them.
This should serve as an appropriate metaphor for this audience because when it comes to data storage, many of today’s storage solutions have been around since the 1970s…as in the the world of mobile, today’s data storage needs are revealing just how limited those older solutions are. Even if a company has updated almost everything in its IT ecosystem, it takes only one unchanged layer to prevent them from realizing the benefits of the latest technology.
With petabyte scale, reliability, performance, and efficiency the order of the day we are fast approaching that point with storage. There is without question a need to change in the current storage paradigm.
In this webinar you will learn about current IT storage challenges and useful insights about next-generation storage solutions.
Finding a better place to store an ever-expanding volume of valuables is a near universal challenge—for individuals and their businesses. From physical holes in the ground to the ethereal cloud and beyond, the range of options for stashing stuff is immense. And, depending on what you’re storing and how easily you want others to find it, some options are better than others.
Read this white paper to learn how a Network Attached Storage (NAS) system provides the customization, speed, ease-of-use, security and affordability needed to protect and share digital assets for many small business owners.
This whitepaper will explore how business leaders like yourself can align trust, credibility and privacy processes in your organization-and your company's broader ecosystem-into a Business Integrity Strategy.

As organizations aim to increase business agility and streamline
costs, demand for public cloud services continues to grow exponentially, with Gartner predicting it will become the majority
of new IT spending by 2016.
This evolving application ecosystem with its intensive performance
demands is placing new pressures on traditional public
cloud services. Amid this shift, Internap surveyed nearly 250 Internet infrastructure decision makers to gain insight into cloud
adoption, requirements and challenges – including the differences in feedback between the cloud-wise, those using cloud services, and the cloud-wary, those with no near-term plans to use cloud services. The details of these findings are reflected in this Cloud Landscape Report.

“Innovation” is an overused term. The smallest adjustments, the most trivial enhancements, and the least impactful improvements are often trumpeted as innovative. But every once in a while, something truly groundbreaking and transformative comes our way—disrupting longstanding assumptions and norms in the process. This edition of Unleashing IT showcases Cisco’s holistic approach to the future of networking: application Centric Infrastructure (aCI). Promoted by Cisco, Intel®, and ecosystem partners, aCI is a true innovation that changes the way technology is delivered in support of business priorities
This A-to-Z guide includes 101 common terms related to the Internet of Things. It’s not an exhaustive list, given that the IoT and big data are evolving so quickly, but rather a quick go-to resource for the technically savvy data professional who wants to get a handle on this vast IoT and big data ecosystem. This guide for the “non-geek” does include some technical terms, but they are explained sans technical “geek speak.” We also provide context to how a term may be connected to a larger discussion by grouping terms by category.

Deduplication is not new—and HP was certainly not the first to market it. Instead, by watching how deduplication was introduced and listening to the evolving demands of customers who struggle with storage and backup issues, HP built StoreOnce as a next-generation or “Dedupe 2.0” architecture that is available now. With its formidable enterprise experience, server and storage product lines, and broad partner ecosystem, HP intends to catch up with and, in fact, surpass the status quo to bring better deduplication at a lower cost.
