Websites provide online businesses with an unprecedented level of contact with customers and end
users. However, they also place business information where it can be easily accessed by third parties –
often using automated tools known as “bots”. For many organizations, bots represent up to 50%
or more of their overall website traffic, from good bots engaged in essential business tasks to bad
bots conducting fraudulent activities. Regardless of business impact, bot traffic can reduce website
performance for legitimate users and increase IT costs. Organizations need a flexible framework to
better manage their interaction with different categories of bots and the impact that bots have on
their business and IT infrastructure.
As mobile device usage has skyrocketed in recent years, mobile applications have emerged as the key engagement channel for businesses to connect with their most loyal and most valuable customers. Mobile app usage represents more than 85% of total mobile device time, and users now spend more time with apps than they do with television. But while app usage has increased more than 60% over the last two years, the number of apps each user actively engages with has remained fairly steady, at around 27 per month. This means users have a limited appetite for additional apps – but are heavily engaged with the ones they use. So while the mobile web gives businesses broad reach, mobile apps offer a robust link to their best customers. Users who value the company enough to go through the trouble of downloading and installing the app are a brand’s most engaged audience and loyal fan base.
Create your own tablet-worthy site, and make your marketing work harder. This report shows you how to:
. Take advantage of the tablet as a high-end media experience
. Create experiences that support unique tablet behavior
. Increase engagement by leveraging user-generated content
If you’ve seen recent car ads, you know they’re as likely to promote applications and connections as they are styling and horsepower. But manufacturers aren’t the only ones pushing apps these days. Banks, airlines, restaurants—you name it—all are using them to attract and engage customers. This is the application economy; where every company is in the software business and user experience is the new survival of the fittest.
The mobile app has become “the” strategic initiative for all digital organizations attempting to drive business forward. “By 2017, mobile apps will be downloaded more than 268 billion times, generating revenue of more than $77 billion — making apps one of the most popular computing tools for users across the globe.”1 The app has become more than a simple method of communication. It is the new critical point of engagement, the face of the organization, and quite possibly the difference maker in customers staying or leaving. Getting the “user experience” (or UX) right in the eyes of the consumer is no longer a nice to have but fundamental to achieving success.
Business applications have become the battleground for customer loyalty. To compete, IT organizations are under pressure to deliver applications faster and with higher quality. Continuous Delivery (CD) of code offers a solution. CD may be paired with DevOps, Agile and other methodologies. However, QA and testing can be an obstacle to CD’s rapid development and deployment of high quality code. Testers and developers must engage in Continuous Testing, continuously testing software for performance, quality and user experience as it’s being developed.
Continuous Testing is not a push button process, though. It requires a comprehensive approach. This paper outlines the common challenges to Continuous Testing and highlights results from real users who have used technology to get to succeed with the Continuous Testing process.

Business users are a key part of a company\'s security, and even the most conscientious employees can introduce serious breaches of security policy. IT can do everything in its power to secure the company\'s confidential documents--provide first-class security infrastructure, develop reasonable security policies and engage in extensive communication and training--yet still people fail to comply. The solution is to provide security that helps people do their jobs more efficiently, thereby inducing users to follow best security practices without even knowing it.
