The Tenth Annual State of the Network Global Study focuses on a lens on the network team's role in security investigations. When it comes to technology adoption, both cloud and 100 GbE deployment continue to grow aggressively. VoIP adoption is closing in on 60% and software-defined networking is projected to cross the halfway mark, indicating compounding network complexity amidst the ongoing struggle to ID security threats.
Study questions were designed based on interviews with network professionals and IT analysts. Results were compiled from the insights of 1,035 respondents, including network engineers, IT directors and CIOs around the world.
Privileged user accounts—whether usurped, abused or simply misused—are at the heart of most data breaches. Security teams are increasingly evaluating comprehensive privileged access management (PAM) solutions to avoid the damage that could be caused by a rogue user with elevated privileges, or a privileged user who is tired, stressed or simply makes a mistake. Pressure from executives and audit teams to reduce business exposure reinforces their effort, but comprehensive PAM solutions can incur hidden costs, depending on the implementation strategy adopted. With multiple capabilities including password vaults, session management and monitoring, and often user behavior analytics and threat intelligence, the way a PAM solution is implemented can have a major impact on the cost and the benefits. This report provides a blueprint for determining the direct, indirect and hidden costs of a PAM deployment over time.

World leader in design and manufacture of innovative sensing solutions that enhance safety, security, and energy efficiency.
For this manufacturers of high-tech imaging systems, monitoring accuracy and product quality are critical. Any quality problem could mean a part fails sooner than expected, or triggers a false alarm at a customer site that causes unnecessary panic.
By setting up automated manufacturing analytic workflows with the TIBCO StatisticaTM platform, the company can complete complicated processes in just a few minutes and improve product quality by decreasing the variability of everything they produce.
SIEM (security information and event management) software offers a lot of promise, but legacy SIEMs simply can't keep up with the rate and sophistication of today's cyberattacks. Organizations today require access to analytics-driven SIEMs that combine a big data platform that is optimized for machine data with advanced analytics, threat detection, monitoring tools, incident response tools and multiple forms of threat intelligence.
Download your complimentary copy of “The Six Essential Capabilities of an Analytics-Driven SIEM” and learn how to dramatically improve your security posture, advanced threat detection and incident response.
Gartner's “2017 Critical Capabilities for Security Information and Event Management” report assesses eight SIEM capabilities against the increasingly complex vendor landscape. The conclusion? Splunk had the highest score in the Security Monitoring use case.
We believe customers rely on Splunk’s advanced security analytics capabilities to meet their SIEM and security intelligence needs — improving threat detection, investigation and time to remediation. It’s proven to help with compliance and incident reporting, automated alerting of common security events and historical analysis for detected incidents.

Organizations face onboarding risks of BYOS (Bring Your Own Service) as they hire new employees that bring their own cloud services into the work environment. Risks facing IT and security teams include protecting corporate data and defending against modern threats. While IT and Security teams want to adopt modern cloud applications and increase business agility, they also want to implement visibility and monitoring to protect corporate data and comply to security policies. This session will highlight how new methodologies available today enable organizations to discover sanctioned and un-sanctioned cloud services that are being used within their organization, and how they can apply consistent security policies across the public and private cloud to protect corporate data and conform to compliance policies.

Part 3 in our Partnering with Certainty Webinar Series, "Customer Demands at the Edge."
As distributed edge environments become more critical, physical security becomes more important. Nobody would leave their data center wide open for anyone to enter, but that’s exactly how many organizations treat their edge computing sites. Often, they consist of a rack or two of gear in a non-dedicated location, perhaps a janitor’s closet, with little to no physical security.
Fill out your information and click "Register" to watch the third event in our Partnering with Certainty Webinar Series, “Customer Demands at the Edge: Protect me from Downtime!” This webinar originally aired on November 9th, 2017.
In this webinar, we discuss physical security best practices, including environmental issues such as temperature and humidity monitoring. We also update partners on the physical security features of the latest APC racks and the NetBotz line of security and environmental appliances, cameras and sensors.

With Rackspace Managed Security and Compliance Assistance for GCP, Rackspace is now a leading managed security services provider that offers services on all of the major public cloud platforms. In IDC’s 2017 CloudView Survey of over 6,000 enterprise respondents, nearly 50 percent indicated concerns about security in the cloud, and about 40 percent cited superior security capabilities available from service providers as a major incentive to move to the cloud.¹ With RMS, Rackspace security experts help customers with strategic planning for best practice multi-cloud security, tactical day-to-day security monitoring and threat analysis to deter, detect and respond to potential threats around the clock.
Available as a rack-mounted, hardened hardware appliance, an Open Virtualization Format (OVF) Virtual Appliance or an Amazon Machine Instance (AMI), CA Privileged Access Manager enhances security by protecting sensitive administrative credentials, such as root and administrator passwords, controlling privileged user access and proactively enforcing policies and monitoring and recording privileged user activity across all IT resources.
Small server rooms and branch offices are typically unorganized, unsecure, hot, unmonitored, and space constrained. These conditions can lead to system downtime or, at the very least, lead to “close calls” that get management’s attention. Practical experience with these problems reveals a short list of effective methods to improve the availability of IT operations within small server rooms and branch offices. This paper discusses making realistic improvements to power, cooling, racks, physical security, monitoring, and lighting. The focus of
this paper is on small server rooms and branch offices with up to 10kW of IT load.
