Insights into avoiding migration regret amongst CxO’s:
The decision to move business workloads and applications to the cloud impacts all parts of the business and isn’t a decision isolated to the IT team.
Our latest research study on the different motives, concerns and experiences of executive peers and business stakeholders when securing buy-in for a strategic IT move found 97% of C-level executives in ANZ suffered from migration regret during their first cloud migration.
Packed with telling hindsight, over 200 c-suite executives shared their expectations and experiences during the cloud migration journey. They reveal what they would have done differently - namely enhanced communication and a clear plan of action - and offer practical advice to help others get buy-in internally and secure funding to support a move to the cloud.
As the information age matures, data has become the most
powerful resource enterprises have at their disposal. Businesses
have embraced digital transformation, often staking their
reputations on insights extracted from collected data. While
decision-makers hone in on hot topics like AI and the potential of
data to drive businesses into the future, many underestimate the
pitfalls of poor data governance. If business decision-makers can’t
trust the data within their organization, how can stakeholders and
customers know they are in good hands? Information that is not
correctly distributed, or abandoned within an IT silo, can prove
harmful to the integrity of business decisions.

The CISO, Head of Human Resources, CIO, and Chief Legal Council are not the cast of characters you would expect to see solve a data protection challenge. Yet, the GDPR’s far-reaching impact has forced teams who typically don’t work together to collaborate to solve a nuanced problem they never thought they would have. Get a firsthand account of how Forcepoint’s CIO, Meerah Rajavel prepared for the regulation including collaborating with all stakeholders to jointly determine how the regulation applied to each part of the business and implementing a path to compliance.
All of these elements of growing connectivity have the potential to significantly increase productivity, streamline operations and enhance service levels to citizens and stakeholders. But these benefits are only one side of the story. The added complexity of the new eGovernment environment also creates many new challenges, as government agencies search for effective ways to secure and control access to the rapidly growing number and variety of gateways to their ecosystems.
Midsized firms operate in the same hypercompetitive, digital environment as large enterprises—but with fewer technical and budget resources to draw from. That’s why it is essential for IT leaders to leverage best-practice processes and models that can help them support strategic business goals such as agility, innovation, speed-tomarket, and always-on business operations. A hybrid IT implementation can provide the infrastructure flexibility to support the next generation of high-performance, data-intensive applications. A hybrid foundation can also facilitate new, collaborative processes that bring together IT and business stakeholders.

Selecting the right enterprise resource planning (ERP) software often poses a challenge for many businesses in the manufacturing industry. With so many options out there, it’s difficult to break down each potential application and choose the one that’s the best fit for your business.
This Gartner report explains how ERP selection teams can come to a consensus and establish an understanding of all options by jointly populating and prioritizing a hierarchical, weighted ERP evaluation model.
A structured evaluation model helps put all the cards on the table by explaining and justifying to internal stakeholders, external auditors, and vendors how and why an ERP software decision was made.
Read the Gartner report and establish your own ERP evaluation model to see if the Epicor ERP solution is the right fit for your manufacturing business.
While the Affordable Care Act (ACA) increased the number of Americans with access to health insurance, U.S. employers and employees continue to struggle with rising health care costs and changing workforce demands. Recent Aon research shows that 20% of health care consumers cite high health care costs as the major reason they have either declined health care coverage, stopped taking medications, or avoided care altogether. If the U.S. health care system is to succeed, stakeholders across the health ecosystem must influence change in each market—employer, individual, and government (Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare).
While each part of the three-legged stool is important, this paper focuses on five strategies Aon believes will strengthen the employer-based system—a system that provides health care coverage to well over half of Americans (61%, or 177 million).

The term “Cloud First” was initially popularized by Vivek Kundra, who formerly held the post of White House CIO and launched this strategy for U.S. federal government IT modernization at the Cloud Security Alliance Summit 2011. The underlying philosophy of the cloud-first strategy is that organizations must initially evaluate the suitability of cloud computing to address emergent business requirements before other alternatives are considered.
This paper offers guidance to help organizations establish a systematic and repeatable process for implementing a cloud-first strategy. It offers a high-level framework for identifying the right
stakeholders and engaging with them at the right time to reduce the risk, liabilities, and inefficiencies that organizations can experience as a result of adhoc cloud decisions. The goal of this guidance is to help ensure that any new cloud program is secure,
compliant, efficient, and successfully implements the organization’s key business initiatives.
In this paper, we explore the challenges of quantifying social marketing’s financial and nonfinancial ROI and how businesses are employing strategic measurements that reveal dividends beyond the bottom line.

In considering the four principal options of data center modernization, keep in mind that each option need not be treated as a separate and distinct approach. Data center stakeholders may want to combine options in order to better accommodate a particular migration timeline. Or cautious executives may want to simply dabble with the outsourcing option by piloting only a few select applications while still maintaining a core corporate data center. The key critical success factor is the recognition that data center modernization is not a one-time fi x, but rather a critical piece of an ongoing strategy to better service customers.
