To win the colocation race you need to be faster, reliable, innovative and efficient –all while making smarter design choices that will ensure positive returns. Customers are demanding 100% uptime and always-on connectivity –be it small enterprises to large Internet Giants–and colocation providers need to meet these expectations. The growing adoption of prefabricated data centers allows just that. With the undisputed benefits of prefab modules and building components(like speed or quality),colocation providers can manage their business today, and deploy faster in the future. Chris Crosby, CEO for Compass Datacenters, is well-known for his expertise in the data center industry. From its founding in 2012, Compass’ data center solutions have used prefabricated components like exterior walls and power centers to deliver brandable, dedicated facilities for colocation providers. Prefabrication is the central element of the company’s “Kit of Parts” methodology that delivers customizable data center solutions from the core to the edge. By attending this webinar, colocation providers will: • understand the flexibility and value delivered via the use of prefabricated construction • Hear the common misperceptions regarding prefabricated modules and data center components • learn how prefabricated solutions can provide more revenue generation capability than competing alternatives • know what key things to consider when evaluating prefabricated data center design

In September 2012, the New York City Board of Health approved a measure to ban the sale of large sodas and other sugary drinks in restaurants, movie theaters, sports arenas and street carts in a first of its kind restriction in the US. At the forefront of this measure was Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The mayor noted that 6,000 New Yorkers die every year from obesity-related illness. Some ethnic groups in the city have rates of overweight and obesity approaching 70 percent of adults. African-American New Yorkers are three times as likely, and Hispanic New Yorkers twice as likely, as white New Yorkers to die from diabetes.1 Is this social policy run amuck? Is it, as some have suggested, an infringement on individual rights? Or is it simply recognition that health issues cannot be treated in isolation from the many other factors that affect an individual’s or a community’s health?

The 401(k) market has rapidly changed. Is your plan up to date? Since 2012, there have been significant changes in 401(k)s which have created new risks and opportunities for small and midsized business 401(k) plans. With this rapid pace of change, many business owners, and even some small advisors and recordkeepers have not been able to keep up. We’ll summarize both changes to the 401(k) industry and the opportunities that exist for you to improve your plan, specifically in the following 5 areas: 1. Staying compliant with increasingly complicated regulations – New government regulations have increased burdens on companies offering both health plans and 401(k)s. The seismic shift in consumer behavior has created the slow demise of many long-established, iconic brands. The woes of brick and mortar retail have become a daily news item, with store closures and financial downturns dominating the headlines. Though low cash and heavy debt play a significant role, many point to online retail as the culprit for this decline. Retail margins on average fell to 9% last year from 10.5% in 2012 and over that period ecommerce sales increased to 15.5% of total sales according to the Wall Street Journal. For most companies, this meant shifting towards online sales.

Among all the trends and buzzwords currently shaking up the marketing industry, one concept is emerging as the one to watch: customer experience (CX). Providing individual customers with the best possible experience is becoming the top priority at the moment, even to the point where experience outshines product quality(!) as the main differentiator. This is confirmed by a recent Gartner1 survey, in which 86 percent of participating companies listed customer experience as the main factor for gaining a competitive advantage, compared with merely 36 percent in 2012.

This document defines Oracle’s Customer Experience (CX) Value Equation as the strategic method to identify and measure the value of organizational CX. This model was originally documented in “CX Metrics and KPIs – September 2012.” It has received wide support, and has been the #1 searched hit and downloaded CX KPI document for 3+ years – a significant achievement in this industry – in an era where concepts are replaced daily with the latest, greatest fad. Since the original publication, I have received significant feedback that has been overwhelmingly positive, but with a request to comment on additional topics – most notably: brand impact, shared services, and Oracle’s Road to Modern. This updated paper leverages the original work, adds information around these additional topics and incorporates our continued client experience.
